Corporate Events for 2021

Posted on: December 31st, 2020 by Annabel Bowe

2021 is upon us and we could all do with a little something different to lift our spirits.

As the beautiful deux chevuax are unable to venture over onto the continent for the timing being, 2CV Adventures have decided to make the most of the stunning English countryside and hold one day corporate events.

Hire the fleet of 15 cars for your event and have a scrumptious lunch in the heart of the Hampshire or West Sussex countryside.

With Covid-19 all around us, all the event planning and attendance will be subject to government guidelines.

If you have a mind to do something new this year, then what could possibly more fun that a trip out in a 2CV.

Contact Finella for date options or more information.
Various dates available from May-September 2021.

Not The Revival Rally

Posted on: December 31st, 2020 by Annabel Bowe

Goodwood Revival was cancelled due to Covid-19, 2CV Adventures, run by Toby and Finella Kilner, though it might just be a jolly good idea to arrange a small alternative charity-based event to fill the gap. So, the “Not The Revival” rally came into being.

Not only were the 2CVs out in force on the day, but also, a further 27 classic cars including; Jagaurs, Lagondas, Aston martins, MGs, ACs, Bentleys, Mercedes and many made it round the 115km route, meandering through the country lanes of Hampshire and West Sussex.

The day started with The Flight of the Valkyries which accompanied two World War 1 model bi-planes aircraft that treated everyone to a wonderful aerobatic display. Proceedings for the day were blessed by Brian Prichard, the Dean of Alton, which was followed immediately by a rousing rendition of Jerusalem, sung by all..

Once briefed, 35 vehicles left at 1-minute intervals for their two-and-a-half-hour drive in the glorious September sunshine, on the St Covid Trophy Rally. Cars passed through the village at the beginning, and end of the rally. Giving Oakhanger’s residents a chance to see these superb machines in action.

After picnics were consumed, the Concourse D’Elegance took place (a car beauty pageant) kindly judged by John Mac. The winner was a beautiful Alpha Romeo GC 1937 and other prizes were won by the oldest car in attendance a Bean 1922 and the quirkiest, a Tuk Tu. Both of which made it round the full course.

The day wrapped up with traditional prizing giving. After that, the participants hopped into their splendid vehicles, and scattered to the four winds.

Maybe 2021, will require a follow-on rally? Here’s hoping that the cars will return to grace us with their dazzling presence again.

You too can hire one the 2CVs for the day. Have a think about it…

The whole event was in aid of – Robbie’s Rehab and HALOW charities.

The French Connection rally from the south of France to Caen is now open for entries. Starting at Beaulieu-sur-Mer, just a few minutes from Monte Carlo, we have a great route through the fabulous Alpes de Provence for the first two days before taking the less travelled D roads of central France to  Sancerre, Chartres and Normandy. Accommodation is in some great hotels, including the odd chateau. Food is important to us so we find you great restaurants to enjoy the best of France. And, along the route you will find plenty of places to enjoy local produce and make the most of a ‘degustation’ or two. All for just £1,295 per person sharing one of our beautiful 2CVs.

Dominique goes Retro at Goodwood Revival

Posted on: October 29th, 2014 by 2CV

Finella and Fiona looked ravishing in period costume for the Goodwood Revival and enjoyed a busy
three days talking to people about our tours. Dominique was overwhelmed by the attentions of five handsome baguette waving, beret wearing Frenchman who thoroughly enjoyed their nostalgic trip down memory lane with her. Dominique drew a lot of attention during our three days there and was definitely one of the most beautiful (if not least powerful!) cars at the Revival.
